about me

As we get to know each other, I thought you'd enjoy learning more about me.

I’m native to the Seattle area and I love spending time in the city. The Pike Place Market is one of my favorite places. I always leave the market with produce in one hand and fresh flowers in the other. It’s my ritual, and I’m a firm believer we all need rituals to celebrate the fullness of life.

I faithfully indulge in dark chocolate every day. Some might say it’s an addiction, I say it’s good self-care. My love of chocolate seeks to buy fair-trade confections in the hope of ending modern-day slavery. Whatever your charitable cause, I believe the world will be better because our hearts are broken for the hurting.

In the past few years, I've traveled abroad and have been gloriously ruined by the tender circumstances and the beautiful people on the other side of the world. In my travels, I’m certain of this truth… In our humanity, we are all more alike than different. I believe this to be true across the globe and in my office too.

As you choose a therapist, I welcome further conversation about my education & training.

I’m trained in Bowen Family Systems Theory and other theoretical frameworks. My primary approach for viewing our lives and our experiences is based in Narrative Theory. This particular way of therapy views problems as existing outside ourselves as aspects rooted in our communities and our culture, impacting our lives in certain ways.

In my work with girls and young women, I’m especially passionate about exploring the ways our gender and today’s cultural influences shape our lives.
